NHL: Calgary 4, Edmonton 3

EDMONTON, Alberta, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- David Moss scored two goals Saturday, leading Calgary's 4-3 win over Edmonton.

His second goal snapped a 3-3 tie with 49 seconds left in the third period, giving the Flames their second straight victory to start the NHL season.

Curtis Glencross and Nigel Dawes also had goals.

Jay Bouwmeester had two assists, while Flames' goalkeeper Miikka Kiprusoff made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Bouwmeester played in his 344th straight game, the NHL's longest active streak.

Dustin Penner led Edmonton with a goal and an assist.

Gilbert Brule and Sam Gagner (unassisted) also scored, while Oilers' goalie Nikolai Khabibulin surrendered four goals on 21 shots.
