COL FB: Alabama 53, North Texas 7

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- No. 4 Alabama got three touchdowns from Greg McElroy Saturday en route to a 53-7 thrashing of North Texas.

McElroy was 13-for-15 for 176 yards through the air and also ran for a score.

Terry Grant rushed 19 times for 79 yards and two more touchdowns for the Crimson Tide (3-0). Mark Ingram also scored once on eight carries for 91 yards, and Trent Richardson added a score on 11 rushes for 88 yards.

The Mean Green (1-2) got a their touchdown when Nathan Tune hooked up with Lance Dunbar. Tune went 16-for-23 for 126 yards and Dunbar had two catches for 40 yards.
