MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 5, Arizona 4

PHOENIX, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Ronnie Belliard drove in the go-ahead run in a four-run eighth inning Tuesday night and the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied to beat Arizona 5-4.

Belliard's game-winning hit followed a bases-loaded two-run single by James Loney that tied the score 4-4.

With the victory, the Dodgers maintained their 3 1/2 -game lead over Colorado in the National League West. Arizona lost its sixth in a row.

Andre Ethier was 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Dodgers. Matt Kemp drove in a run and Manny Ramirez went 0-for-2 with a pair of walks.

James McDonald (5-4) pitched the seventh to get the win. Jonathan Broxton earned his 34th save.

Starting pitcher Billy Buckner had two hits and two RBI for the Diamondbacks and also went seven solid innings on the mound. He gave up one run on five hits and struck out four.

Mark Reynolds and Justin Upton drove in the other Arizona runs.
