CHICAGO, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Robbie Gould kicked four field goals Thursday, two of them in the fourth quarter, in Chicago's 26-23 exhibition win over Cleveland.
Gould's fourth-quarter field goals from 47 and 39 yards gave the Bears a 26-20 lead and
preserved his perfect pre-season record at 9-of-9.
Cleveland's Phil Dawson kicked a 33-yard field goal with 2:21 to play that brought the Browns within three, but the Bears ran out the clock by picking up three first downs on their next possession.
The Browns had a 13-6 halftime lead, but the Bears came back in the third quarter on two touchdown passes -- a 25-yarder from Caleb Hanie to Michael Gaines and an 18-yarder from Brett Basanez to Brandon Rideau.
Chicago posted a 3-1 exhibition record and will start its season with a Sunday night game at Green Bay. Cleveland (2-2) opens at home against Minnesota.
