Marlins pitcher, manager suspended

NEW YORK, July 27 (UPI) -- Florida Marlins reliever Burke Badenhop and Manager Fredi Gonzalez were suspended Monday for actions in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Badenhop hit the Dodgers' Orlando Hudson in the seventh inning after a warning in the sixth and was ejected. His three-game suspension will start Tuesday.

Gonzalez was suspended for one game after he also was ejected from Sunday's game.

LA pitcher Jeff Weaver was fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing at Florida's Hanley Ramirez in the top of the sixth of Sunday's game.
