CHICAGO, June 19 (UPI) -- Ryan Theriot's 10th-inning RBI single Friday capped a Chicago comeback from a 7-1 deficit and gave the Cubs an 8-7 inter-league win over Cleveland.
Chicago faced a 7-1 deficit in the bottom of the sixth but sent the contest into extra innings with a four-run eighth and one in the ninth.
Derek Lee had three hits with two solo homers, extending his hitting streak to 16 straight games. His second homer -- off former Cub Kerry Wood, Cleveland's closer -- created a 7-7 tie with one out in the ninth.
Andres Blanco had two hits and two RBI. A run scored on Jhonny Peralta's eighth-inning error and three others had one RBI for the Cubs, who have won three of four.
The winner was closer Kevin Gregg (2-1).
Cleveland's Luis Valbuena and Victor Martinez hit three-run homers and Mark DeRosa had an RBI for the Indians, who have lost four in a row.
The losing pitcher was Luis Vizcaino (1-3).
