MLB: Arizona 5, San Francisco 4 (12 inn.)

PHOENIX, April 26 (UPI) -- Conor Jackson's 12th-inning RBI single Sunday boosted the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 5-4 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Jackson ended with two of Arizona's nine hits -- the game-winner coming with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 12th.

Mark Reynolds had two hits -- one a second-inning solo homer -- and two RBI. Justin Upton also had two hits, including a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth.

The winner was Juan Gutierrez (1-1), the last of five Arizona pitchers.

San Francisco's Pablo Sandoval had four hits, including a three-run eighth-inning homer, his first this season. Aaron Rowand had two hits and one RBI for the Giants, who had won five in a row.

San Francisco starter Matt Cain surrendered an earned run and just four hits in seven innings with four walks and five strikeouts, while Arizona's Jon Garland gave up four earned and 10 hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Brandon Medders (0-1) took the loss in relief for the Giants, giving up one run on one hit with three walks and two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.
