PHILADELPHIA, April 14 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce, who scored 31 points, made seven 3-pointers Tuesday to carry the Boston Celtics to a 100-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Tony Allen scored 18 points and Glen Davis 15 points for Boston.

Celtics guard Ray Allen was suspended for Tuesday's game by the NBA for elbowing Cleveland's Anderson Varejao in the groin on Sunday. Kevin Garnett also missed the contest with a sore knee. The all-star has sat out 22 of Boston's last 26 games.

Andre Iguodala had 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds for the Sixers, who suffered their sixth straight defeat. Andre Miller added 15 points and nine assists.
