Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

MARBELLA, Spain, April 6 (UPI) -- Seventh-seeded Sorana Cirstea of Romania was among the opening-round winners Monday at the inaugural Andalucia Tennis Experience in Spain.
Cirstea defeated fellow Romanian Ioana Raluca Olaru 6-4, 6-2.
Italian Roberta Vinci upset eighth-seeded Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-4, and Czech Nicole Vaidisova beat German Angelique Kerber 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
This week's top seeds are top-ranked Australian Open and U.S. Open champion Serena Williams and U.S. Open runner-up Jelena Jankovic. Williams was last week's Miami runner-up to Belarusian Victoria Azarenka.
