NBA: Philadelphia 4, New Jersey 2

PHILADELPHIA, March 23 (UPI) -- Simon Gagne had a goal and two assists Monday to pace the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils.

Danny Briere had a goal and an assist and Jeff Carter and Mike Knuble each scored for the Flyers, who have won three straight. Martin Biron made 32 saves in the win.

The Flyers have 90 points, with a solid hold of fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia is seven points behind New Jersey.

Jamie Langenbrunner and Brendan Shanahan each had a goal for the Devils, who have lost three of their last four games. New Jersey goaltender Marin Brodeur stopped 21 shots.
