NBA: Atlanta 100, Utah 93

ATLANTA, March 11 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored 31 points Wednesday and Atlanta held on down the stretch to halt Utah's 12-game winning streak 100-93.

Atlanta won its third in a row, getting 22 points and 12 rebounds from Josh Smith for his 15th double-double of the season. Flip Murray pitched in 16 points.

Utah's winning streak had been its longest in 14 seasons. The Jazz won 14 in a row during January and February of 1995.

Deron Williams paced Utah with 20 points. Ronnie Brewer, despite briefly leaving the game with a cut lip, had 14.

Utah trailed by four with less than a minute to play, but a 3-point miss by Andrei Kirilenko all but ended its hopes.

The Jazz slipped to 2-1 on a five-game road trip that will continue with games in Miami and Orlando.
