NHL: Columbus 3, Colorado 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated Colorado 3-0 Tuesday with goaltender Dan LaCosta turning in a 31-save shutout in just his second start in the NHL

Andrew Murray, Jason Williams and Fredrik Modin scored the Jackets' goals, all in the third period.

Peter Budaj had 27 saves for Colorado, which has dropped six of its last eight contests.

Columbus won all four games in its season series against the Avalanche.
