NBA: Atlanta 102, Charlotte 97

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Marvin Williams scored a season-high 29 points Friday night, hitting 18-of-20 foul shots in the process and rallying Atlanta to a 102-97 win over Charlotte.

The Hawks trailed by as many as 17 points in the second period, but came back to win for the third time in four games.

Atlanta hit 10-of-18 3-point tries, half of the successful attempts coming from Maurice Evans.

Evans finished with 17 points and Mike Bibby had 15 for the Hawks, who played their second straight game without the flu-ridden Joe Johnson.

Charlotte, losers of four in a row, got 17 points from Raja Bell and 15 from both Raymond Felton and Emeka Okafor. Bell left the game in the third period with a strained groin muscle.
