CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Wayne Ellington scored 34 points and had seven of North Carolina's 16 three-pointers Tuesday in the No. 4 Tar Heels' 108-91 win over Maryland.

Ellington made 12-of-15 from the floor, including 7-of-9 three-pointers, and had nine rebounds.

Tyler Hansbrough scored 24 points for North Carolina (20-2, 6-2 ACC), which has six straight wins. Ty Lawson scored 21 points and hit four three-pointers for North Carolina.

Sean Mosley scored 19 points and Cliff Tucker 18 for Maryland (14-8, 3-5), which has lost five of its last seven games.
