NBA: Milwaukee 103, Charlotte 75

MILWAUKEE, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- A 31-point effort from Michael Redd Friday sent the Milwaukee Bucks sailing to a 103-75 triumph over Charlotte.

The Bucks ended the first half with an 11-2 run that gave them a 56-44 lead at intermission and they were not threatened during the final two periods.

Charlie Villanueva added 27 points and Richard Jefferson scored 18. Milwaukee has won two out of three.

Boris Diaw led Charlotte with 16 points, but the Bobcats dropped their third straight.

The teams will meet again Saturday in Charlotte.

Redd made 10-of-16 shots from the field, including three three-pointers, and 8-of-10 from the line.
