NHL: Detroit 6, Los Angeles 4

DETROIT, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Dan Cleary scored the game-winner Saturday night when the Detroit Red Wings recorded a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Kings.

Cleary's fifth goal this season broke a 4-4 tie at 18:26 of the third period. Five others also scored once.

Nicklas Lidstrom had three assists, Brad Stuart two, while Ty Conklin made 22 saves on 26 shots for the Red Wings, who have won seven of their last nine games.

LA's Dustin Brown and Kyle Calder both had one goal and one assist.

Trevor Lewis (unassisted) and Kyle Calder also scored once, and Jonathan Quick, making his third career start, allowed five goals on 35 shots in the Kings' fourth straight loss.

On the power play, both clubs went 0-for-3.
