LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Josh Shipp, Darren Collison and freshman Jrue Holiday each scored 14 points Sunday night as No. 9 UCLA cruised to an 85-67 win over Cal State Northridge.

The Bruins (5-2) led by as much as 23 points in the second half and were never threatened by the visitors from the San Fernando Valley.

Shipp scored 11 of his points in the first half as UCLA built up a 37-15 lead.

Tremaine Townsend scored 23 points for the Matadors (1-6) while Kenny Daniels added 13.
