NBA: Portland 106, Miami 68

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge ignited Portland with eight points in the first 6 minutes Wednesday and the Trail Blazers went on to smash Miami 106-68.

Miami's Shawn Marion missed the game to attend a family funeral in Arkansas and the Heat showed little enthusiasm in the opener of a five-game road trip.

Portland was in front by 20 after one period and coasted the rest of the way. Channing Frye led Portland in scoring with 18 points and Aldridge had 16. Greg Oden, rounding into form after missing all of the 2007-08 season, played 26 minutes and had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Michael Beasley had 14 for Miami.

Portland improved to 6-0 at home. The Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers are the only teams in the NBA without a home loss this season.
