NHL: Nashville 5, Carolina 2

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Jason Arnott and Shea Weber each scored two goals for Nashville Sunday, powering the Predators past the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2.

Arnott scored in the first and second periods. Weber tallied in the second and closed out the scoring with 7:18 left in the game.

Scott Nichol notched the other Nashville goal and Martin Erat made 24 saves.

Nashville got the only goal of the first period, a shot by Arnott, and added three more in the second for a 4-0 lead before Carolina scored twice early in the third.

The Predators have won four of their last six games.
