Hattori, Saiki share Mizuno Classic lead

SHIMA MIE, Japan, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Japanese players Mayu Hattori and Miki Saiki shot 5-under-par 67s Friday to share the first-round lead in the LPGA's Mizuno Classic in Japan.

Ji-Yai Shin and Eun-A Lim carded 68s to tie for second place and nine players turned in 69s.

Fifty-two players were within five shots of the lead, including Momoko Ueda, the defending champion, who shot a 70.

Only three of the top world's top 10 players are competing in the event at the 6,506-yard Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club: Shin, Karrie Webb (72), Yani Tseng (73).
