NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- The New York Daily News reported Thursday that former Knicks Coach Isiah Thomas was not breathing when police reached his home last week.

The Daily News obtained a copy of an incident report through the Freedom of Information Act. The report said Thomas was lying on the kitchen floor of his home in Purchase, N.Y.

Members of the Harrison, N.Y., police force administered oxygen to Thomas until an ambulance arrived.

The original report last week said police were summoned to Thomas' home to assist someone who had overdosed on sleeping pills.

Thomas said later it was his 17-year-old daughter who needed assistance, but police officials denied that version of the story.

Thomas was fired as New York coach last April.
