Mike Nolan reported fired by 49ers

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 20 (UPI) -- San Francisco Coach Mike Nolan reportedly has been fired by the 49ers, who have lost their last four games.

It was reported that Nolan, who was in his fourth season, will be replaced by defensive coordinator Mike Singletary.

The 49ers lost 29-17 road this past Sunday to the New York Giants. The loss dropped their record to 2-5.

Nolan, 49, had an 18-37 record while with the 49ers. The team's best finish under Nolan was 7-9 in 2006.
