LANDOVER, Md., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Clinton Portis rushed for one touchdown on 27 carries for 175 yards Sunday to help the Washington Redskins record a slim 14-11 win over the Cleveland Browns.

His touchdown on a three-yard run with 7:30 left in the first quarter staked Washington to a 7-0 lead.

Wide receiver Santana Moss caught an 18-yard scoring pass from quarterback Jason Campbell, who completed 14-of-23 passes for 164 yards, and linebacker London Fletcher made a team-high 12 tackles for the Redskins (5-2), who bounced back from a 19-17 loss to the previously winless St. Louis Rams last Sunday.

Cleveland's Derek Anderson was able to complete just 14-of-37 passing for 136 yards and a one-yard touchdown to running back Joshua Cribbs late in the fourth quarter.

Jamal Lewis gained 80 yards on 19 carries, while wide receiver Braylon Edwards made four receptions for 58 yards for the Browns (2-4), whose two-game winning streak ended.
