Parmentier an easy winner in Seoul

SEOUL, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Fifth-seeded Pauline Parmentier posted a first-round rout Monday at the $145,000 Korea Open hard-court tennis tournament in Seoul.

Parmentier cashed in five of the eight breaks points she forced on wild-card entrant Han Sung-hee in taking the match 6-1, 6-1.

Second-seeded Shahar Peer was the only other seeded player to win Monday, getting by Petra Cetkovska 6-3, 6-4. Sixth-seeded Marta Domachowska was unable to handle Akgul Amanmuradova, who won 6-7 (1-7), 6-3, 6-3.

Also Monday, Yanina Wickmayer beat Magdalena Rybarikova 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) and Sabine Lisicki romped by Vera Dushevina 6-1, 6-0.

Top-seeded Maria Kirilenko is scheduled for her first Korean Open action Tuesday. Kirilenko was the runner-up in last year's Korea Open, losing the final to Venus Williams, who isn't in the field this year.
