
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning Monday to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
Greg Golson, running for Greg Dobbs, scored on an infield chopper to give Philly a 3-2 lead and Burrell followed with his home run.
Scott Eyre (5-0) retired one batter to pick up the win.
Philadelphia starter J.A. Happ allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks in 6 2/3 innings.
Shane Victorino finished 3-for-4, improving his hitting streak to 11 games. Philadelphia has won 10 out of its last 11 games and has a 2 1/2 game lead in the NL East, following the New York Mets' 6-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs Monday.
Jeff Bennett (3-7) took the loss after allowing three unearned runs on just one hit.
Kelly Johnson extended his hitting streak to a National League-high 20 games with a two-run home run and a triple for Atlanta.
