MLB: Florida 4, Washington 2

MIAMI, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Jorge Cantu and Hanley Ramirez belted two-run homers Saturday when Florida registered a 4-2 win over Washington for the Marlins' fourth straight win.

Cantu's homer came in the bottom of the first inning. Ramirez hit his homer in the second.

Three others had one hit in the Marlins' 12th victory in 14 games against the Nationals this season.

Winning pitcher Josh Johnson (5-1) gave up two earned runs and six hits with a walk and nine strikeouts.

Matt Lindstrom, the last of five pitchers, recorded his fourth save by retiring the side in order in the ninth.

Washington's runs scored on Elijah Dukes' sixth-inning double. Ryan Zimmerman had two of the six hits for the Nationals, whose losing streak grew to four straight games.

Losing pitcher Tim Redding (10-9) surrendered four earned runs and five hits in six innings with three walks and five strikeouts.
