OTTAWA, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Defending champion Lorena Ochoa shot a 4-under-par 68 Friday and led the Canadian Open, which was suspended by rain with half the players still on the course.

The Mexican star was at 10-under 134 at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, leading Katherine Hull by two shots. Hull carded a 7-under 65 for a total of 8-under 136.

Play was halted for nearly three hours before it was decided to suspend the round.

Yani Tseng was also at 8-under, but had only completed 10 holes. Annika Sorenstam, who was just one shot off the lead after the first round, was even par through 10 holes, five shots behind.

"Today was a good day," Ochoa said. "It was a little bit slow on the front nine, and then I was able to make a few birdies on the back."

Ochoa has won six tournaments this year.
