SEATTLE, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A grand slam by Raul Ibanez set off a 10-run seventh inning, propelling the Seattle Mariners past the Minnesota Twins 11-6 Monday in Seattle.

Ibanez finished 3-for-5 with franchise record six runs batted in in the seventh inning.

Roy Corcoran upped his record to 2-0 after relieving Miguel Batista who gave up six runs on seven hits in three-plus innings.

Minnesota starter Glen Perkins yielded five runs on 12 hits over 6 1/3 inning but Brian Bass (3-4) took the loss after giving up two runs and not retiring a batter in the seventh.

Adrian Beltre and Jose Lopez each had three hits and a run scored.

Yuniesky Betancourt opened the decisive seventh-inning rally with a one-out single. After Ichiro Suzuki walked, Willie Bloomquist singled to load the bases for Ibanez, who delivered his seventh career grand slam.

Bass entered the game and gave up a double to Beltre, who tied the score at 6-6 when Lopez singled. Bass was pulled but Miguel Cairo walked and Jeff Clement put the Mariners ahead with an RBI single. After Cairo scored on a groundout, walks loaded the bases again for Ibanez, who had a two-run double to complete the rally.

Justin Morneau drove in two runs and Nick Punto added a solo home run and scored three times for Minnesota, which lost for the third time in the last 10 games and fell into a tie atop the AL Central with the Chicago White Sox.
