Mickelson, Singh, Westwood top Bridgestone

AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Phil Mickelson bogeyed the 18th hole Saturday to drop into a three-way tie for the lead after three rounds of the WGC- Bridgestone Invitational.

Mickelson had a 2-under 68 to complete 54 holes at 8-under 202. He was tied for the lead with Vijay Singh (69) and Lee Westwood (67).

Stuart Appleby is one shot behind the leaders at 7-under 203 after a 3-under 67 Saturday. Retief Goosen is fifth at 205 after a third-round 68.

Mickelson, the world's second-ranked player, had three straight birdies at 14-15-16 to move into the lead.
