ATLANTA, July 6 (UPI) -- Mark Teixeira's bases-loaded single in the 17th inning Sunday gave the Atlanta Braves a 7-6 victory over the Houston Astros.
Teixeira, who finished with three RBI, broke a 6-6 tie with a drive that hit the top of the wall in left-center field, scoring Gregor Blanco.

Atlanta's Chipper Jones reached base seven times with three hits and four walks, driving in two runs and scoring three.
Royce Ring (2-1) pitched a scoreless 17th for the win.
Ty Wigginton walloped a grand slam home run for Houston.
Tim Byrdak, (2-1), victim of the Braves' winning rally, took the loss.
