LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- Cleveland erupted for six runs in the top of the 11th inning Saturday and beat the Dodgers in Los Angeles 7-2.
The contest went to the 12th tied 1-1.
Kelly Shoppach hit a two-run single and four Cleveland players knocked in one run, including starter C.C. Sabathia, who hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning.
Jhonny Peralta had three hits and Grady Sizemore two for the Indians, who won the first two contests in the three-game series at Dodger Stadium.
The winner was Masa Kobayashi (4-3).
Los Angeles scored on Matt Kemp's sixth inning solo homer and James Loney's 11th inning RBI double.
The losing pitcher was Cory Wade (0-1).
Sabathia gave up an earned run and five hits in seven innings with a walk and 10 strikeouts.
The clubs are facing each other for the first time since the Dodgers swept a three-game series in Cleveland in 2003.
