MLB: Texas 12, Cleveland 7

ARLINGTON, Texas, June 4 (UPI) -- The Texas Rangers used five home runs to pummel the Cleveland Indians 12-7 Tuesday.

David Murphy led the way, finishing with four hits and one of those five homers. Milton Bradley hit two solo homers, while Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Josh Hamilton also hit four-baggers. It was Hamilton's 17th homer of the season.

Texas starter A.J. Murray, who was recalled from the minors Monday gave up one run after 2 1/3 innings, but left with a strained rotator cuff. Frank Francisco (1-1) followed Murray and got the win, throwing by allowing one unearned run in 1 2/3 frames.

Tom Mastny (0-1), who also was recalled Monday, had an unsuccessful major league debut, coughing up five runs on six hits in just 1 1/3 innings.

Ryan Garko had three hits for Cleveland, while pinch-hitter Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-2 with a homer, double and three RBI.
