PHOENIX, May 31 (UPI) -- Brandon Webb pitched a complete-game six-hit shutout Saturday when the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Washington 4-0 to snap a five-game losing streak.
Arizona scored all its runs on solo homers -- with Mark Reynolds connecting in the second and seventh innings, Justin Upton in the seventh and Chris Young in the eighth.
Webb (10-2) did not walk a batter, struck out eight and threw 73 of his 113 pitches for strikes.
Lastings Milledge had two of the six hits for the Nationals, who have split their last four games.
Losing pitcher Jason Bergmann (1-2) went distance, giving up the homers and three other hits in eight innings with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Bergmann came into the contest with a streak of 19 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings.
