NEW YORK, May 29 (UPI) -- The NBA fined Detroit forward Rasheed Wallace $25,000 Thursday for his post-game tirade directed at the officials the night before.

Wallace's profanity-laced criticism came after Detroit endured a 106-102 loss to Boston in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. The result gave Boston a 3-2 series lead.

The often-vocal Wallace was upset at what he believed to be Boston players flopping and drawing unwarranted foul calls. He was given a technical foul during the game, in which he scored 18 points.
