CLEVELAND, May 27 (UPI) -- Franklin Gutierrez hit a grand slam Tuesday, highlighting a five-run first inning that powered the Cleveland Indians to an 8-2 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Ben Francisco and Ryan Garko also drove in runs for the Indians.

Tribe starter Aaron Laffey (3-3) allowed seven hits and two runs over six innings for the win.
Toby Hall had two hits, an RBI and a run, and Orlando Cabrera had two hits and an RBI for the White Sox.
Chicago's Mark Buehrle (2-6) gave up seven runs on eight hits in five-plus innings.
