MLB: Baltimore 5, Boston 4

BALTIMORE, May 13 (UPI) -- Luke Scott hit a three-run homer and the Orioles tagged Josh Beckett for five runs Tuesday to carry Baltimore to a 5-4 win over Boston.

Scott finished 3-for-4, and Brian Roberts and Adam Jones each added two hits for Baltimore, which has won four of its last five games.

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie (2-3) gave up three runs on eight hits and one walk in six-plus innings. He struck out seven for his first victory at home since July 27 of last season.

Beckett (4-3) lasted 5 2/3 innings after allowing five runs on 11 hits and two walks.
