MLB: Atlanta 5, San Diego 3

ATLANTA, May 6 (UPI) -- Chipper Jones hit a two-run homer Tuesday, propelling the Atlanta Braves to a 5-3 victory over the San Diego Padres.

Mark Kotsay went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored for the Braves, who have won four straight. Jair Jurrjens (4-2) got the win by allowing just one run on seven hits with a walk and eight strikeouts in six innings.

Brain Giles went 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and Adrian Gonzalez drove in two runs for the Padres, who have lost four of their last five games.

Chris Young (2-3) suffered the loss after giving up five runs on nine hits in five innings.
