MLB: Texas 6, Minnesota 5 (10 innings)

ARLINGTON, Texas, April 25 (UPI) -- David Murphy singled in pinch-runner German Duran from second with two out in the 10th Friday, giving the Texas Rangers a 6-5 win over Minnesota.

The Rangers rallied from a five-run deficit to halt a seven-game losing streak, all of those setbacks coming during a nine-game road trip.

Justin Morneau singled in a run for the Twins in the first and then hit a grand slam homer in the third off Kevin Millwood to give Minnesota a 5-0 lead.

The Rangers promptly scored five times in their half of the third -- an inning that featured a two-run double by Josh Hamilton.

It stayed 5-5 until the 10th, when the Rangers scratched out a run against Juan Rincon (2-1).

Hank Blalock doubled with one out and Duran came in to run for him. After Jason Botts walked and Frank Catalanotto struck out looking, Murphy drove an 0-1 pitch into left.

The win went to Joaquin Benoit (2-1), who pitched the top of the 10th.
