MLB: Cincinnati 4, Milwaukee 3 (10 inn.)

CINCINNATI, April 20 (UPI) -- Ken Griffey Jr.'s RBI single capped a three-run bottom of the 10th inning Sunday that boosted the Cincinnati Reds past the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3.

The contest was tied 1-1 after nine innings before Milwaukee took a 3-1 lead on a wild pitch by winner Jared Burton and an RBI single by J.J. Hardy.

Cincinnati's Edwin Encarnacion hit two solo homers.

Paul Bako and Jeff Keppinger also had two hits for the Reds, who averted a three-game sweep.

Burton (1-1) won despite giving up the two runs in the top of the 10th.

Hardy led Milwaukee with three hits and two RBI.

No other player had more than one hit for the Brewers, who had won their previous four extra-inning games this season.
