MLB: Kansas City 3, LA Angels 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 17 (UPI) -- Gil Meche allowed two runs through six innings Wednesday and the Kansas City relief corps came through in a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Four Kansas City relievers combined to pitch three innings of two-hit ball with Joakim Soria striking out two in the ninth to earn his fifth save.

Meche (1-2) allowed six hits to pick up the win while Jered Weaver (1-3) gave up 10 hits and three runs over six innings to take the loss.

The Angels had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Kansas City scored all its runs in the first two innings. Billy Butler and Alex Gordon delivered RBI singles in the first and an error by Weaver in the second allowed an unearned run to score.
