NBA: Toronto 89, Detroit 82

TORONTO, March 26 (UPI) -- Chris Bosh scored 21 points Wednesday and Toronto used a big run in the second half to defeat Detroit 89-82.

The Raptors won for only the third time in 10 games. T.J. Ford, who started for the first time since Dec. 11, added 13 points. Ford missed 24 games with an injury and when he returned to the lineup Feb. 4, he served as a backup to Jose Calderon.

Toronto stayed a half game behind sixth-seeded Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference.

Detroit was led by Chauncey Billups with 24 points and Rodney Stuckey had a career-best 16. The Pistons, however, lost for the third time in four games and fell six games behind Boston in the chase for the No. 1 seed in the conference.

Richard Hamilton, the Pistons' leading scorer, missed his second straight game with a sore left hip.

Toronto bridged the third and fourth periods with a 17-4 run that gave the Raptors a 68-51 lead.
