NHL: Anaheim 5, St. Louis 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 16 (UPI) -- Rob Niedermayer scored twice in the third period Saturday to help the Anaheim Ducks beat the St. Louis Blues 5-2.

The goals were his 7th and 8th this season.

The 7th was unassisted at the 4:08 mark of the third and the 8th came at 11:09.

Mathieu Schneider scored his 10th at 19:07 of the first.

Teemu Selanne's eighth came on the power play at 15:10 of the second and Ryan Getzlaf scored his 23rd with about 1:30 left.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 38 of a whopping 40 St. Louis shots for the Ducks, who have won nine of their last 12 games and 14 of 18 overall.

It was their ninth straight win on home ice, a franchise record.

St. Louis got a goal and an assist from Jeff Woywitka. Jamal Myers also scored and Manny Legace was beaten five times on 33 shots for the Blues, who lost six in a row.
