Last month, she won the Medibank International in Australia.

"This is a very emotional moment for me," she told reporters. "There was a lot of pressure on me to do well at home (but) it was my goal and I'm so happy I've been able to do it."

It was the first career meeting between the Henin and her 47th-ranked opponent.

Knapp, playing in a final for the first time in her career, had not won a match in three tournaments this season before her surprising run to the final.
