COL BKB: Kansas 84, Nebraska 49

LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Darrell Arthur and Brandon Rush scored 18 points apiece Saturday, guiding second-ranked Kansas to an 84-49 rout of Nebraska.

The winners established themselves quickly by scoring the game's first six points en route to a 44-15 halftime advantage.

Nebraska faced a double-digit deficit from the 4:40 mark of the first half when Arthur's layup gave Kansas a 31-11 lead until the end.

Kansas' biggest lead was the final score when reserve guard Tyrel Reed sank a layup with 34 seconds left.

Darnell Jackson had 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and Sherron Collins scored 10 points for the Jayhawks (20-0, 5-0 Big 12), who placed 11 players in the scoring column in their 28th straight regular season victory.

Steve Harley scored 16 points and was the lone player in double digits for the Cornhuskers (11-6, 0-4), who have a four-game losing streak and have lost 10 in a row to the Jayhawks.
