EUGENE, Ore., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Kevin Love scored 26 points and Darren Collison had 22 Thursday in rallying No. 7 UCLA to an 80-75 win over Oregon.

The Bruins closed the game with a 16-6 run to fight off the Ducks' upset bid.

Love added 18 rebounds and Collison's point total was a career best. UCLA (17-2, 5-1 Pac-10) avoided what would have been its second straight loss. USC handed the Bruins their first conference setback last weekend.

Oregon (12-7, 3-4) was led by Malik Hairston with 18 points.

Russell Westbrook put UCLA in front to stay at 72-71 with a layup. Collison then made two free throws to expand the Bruins' advantage.
