NBA: Sacramento 122, Dallas 120

SACRAMENTO, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- John Salmons' running layup with 2.6 seconds remaining Monday sent Sacramento Kings to a 122-120 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Salmon finished with 22 points, as did Francisco Garcia, and the Kings got a game-high 39 points from Kevin Martin.

The Mavericks, who had a seven-game win streak snapped, got 25 points apiece from Devin Harris and Jason Terry.

Dallas led 35-26 after the first quarter but Sacramento pulled to within 57-55 at the half and forged ahead 86-80 going into the final period. Mikki Moore made two free throws to put the Kings up 99-90 midway through the fourth, but the Mavericks got within four, 101-97, when Dirk Nowitzki hit a three-pointer with 5:45 left and it was a race to the finish from there.
