COL BKB: Villanova 72, Columbia 56

VILLANOVA, Pa., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Shane Clark scored 15 points Saturday to lead the 16th-ranked Villanova Wildcats to a 72-56 victory over the Columbia Lions.

Scottie Reynolds added 14 points for the Wildcats (9-1), who have won five straight after their sole loss of the season in a one-point defeat to North Carolina State on Nov. 25. Dante Cunningham had 12 rebounds for Villanova, which opened the game with a 12-0 run.

K.J. Matsui scored 19 points to lead Columbia (4-7), which has split its last six games after losing four of five to start the season.
