COL BKB: UCLA 77, Western Illinois 52

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The eighth-ranked UCLA Bruins shot nearly 62 percent from the field in the first half Tuesday, powering to a 77-52 win over Western Illinois.

Kevin Love led the way for UCLA with 16 points. Darren Collison added 12, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 10 and Russell Westbrook contributed eight along with seven assists.

UCLA (10-1) held the Leathernecks (3-7) to just 33.3 percent shooting in the first half.

David Jackson and Jerryck Owens-Murrey each chipped in 10 points to lead Western Illinois, while David DuBois grabbed a team-high seven boards.

UCLA led 42-19 at the half and extended its lead to 57-29 in the second half.
