He also assisted on Joffrey Lupul’s power play, game-winning tally at the 13:00 mark.

Goalie Martin Biron, bidding for his third shutout in the new season, stopped 38 of 39 shots as the Flyers halted a two-game skid.

Boston's lone goal was scored by Marco Sturm on the power play at 7:51 of the first.

Goaltender Tim Thomas was beaten twice on 28 shots for the Bruins, who had won four of their previous five games.

They lost forward Patrice Bergeron, who was taken off the ice on a stretcher late in the first period after being driven head-first into the glass by Flyers defenseman Randy Jones.

His status was undisclosed.
