NHL: Anaheim 3, Nashville 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Petteri Wirtanen and Drew Miller both scored their first NHL goals Wednesday in boosting Anaheim past Nashville 3-1.

The defending Stanley Cup Champion Ducks have won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Wirtanen snapped a 1-1 tie at 4:47 of the third by firing a wrist shot past Chris Mason and Miller added some insurance at the 12:23 mark.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 28 saves for the Ducks, who have won three out of four following a three-game skid.

Corey Perry put Anaheim in front with 20 seconds left in the first period and the Ducks kept a 1-0 lead until Ryan Suter tied it 2:24 into the third.

Nashville opened a three-game road trip by losing its fourth straight.
